TMA eli kotelorakenteinen törmäysvaimennin on suunniteltu moottoriteiden, kehäteiden ja vilkkaasti liikennöityjen tieosuuksien turvalliseen kunnossapitoon ja korjaukseen.

Törmäysvaimennintrailerit on suunniteltu erityisesti työmaille, jotta autoilijat ja työntekijät saavat tarvittavan suojan törmäystilanteessa. Perävaunun tarkoituksena on vaimentaa törmäys täysin, alentaa ajoneuvon nopeutta ja suojella molempia osapuolia.
